Regardless of how safe you drive, accidents still can happen. Newark Pain and Rehab Center, serving the East Orange, Ironbound and Irvington communities, has the facilities and skilled staff to treat auto injuries that lead to back pain, arm pain, leg pain or any pain - and even those are not initially painful at all.
Certain injuries, such as whiplash, can cause instant damage to your back, neck, and spine even if no painful symptoms crop up for weeks or longer. A trip to our chiropractic clinic can assess if any damage was done immediately following a vehicle accident, even if nothing seems amiss.
Other common vehicle injuries our chiropractor treats includes trauma to the back and neck, injury-related headaches, and injuries causing pain, tingling, or numbness in the arms, legs or other areas.
While we have the resources, experience and chiropractic techniques to treat a wide range of injuries, we want to encourage patients to be aware and defensive drivers.
Driving safe means wearing a seat belt at all times; giving the road your full attention without cell phones, radio adjustments and other distractions; and skipping a driving trip if you are tired, on certain medications and, of course, drinking alcohol. Steering clear of aggressive drivers and driving courteously can enhance the safety of your driving experiences, as can not taking other driver's actions personally.
Staying calm on the road is another way to stay safe in the streets of Newark, allowing yourself enough time to get to your destination without rushing. Plan your trips in advance, avoid rush-hour if possible, and give yourself plenty of travel time.
Speed limits exist for a reason and the safest drivers follow them. Driving above or below the limit can clog up traffic and put motorists at risk. Also note speed limits that change at night and remember to drive to suit local weather conditions, especially rain, fog and snow.
