The Benefits of Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy

Our
Newark Chiropractor,
Dr. Vincent Saraceno, has a wide variety of non-surgical
chiropractic methods that he uses to treat
arm pain,
leg pain, neck pain and a wide range of back problems. Non-surgical
Spinal Decompression therapy is one of the most effective
chiropractic methods in Dr. Saraceno's toolbox. But what exactly is Non-surgical Decompression and how is it used?
Chiropractic Care and Spinal Decompression are Non-Invasive Treatments
Our
chiropractor provides non-surgical Spinal Decompression, which is a newer therapy that has been proven to be effective in treating herniated discs. Decompression uses a mechanical traction device to carefully control the force and angle of pressure as it is applied to the back. The decompression is applied in 15-minute intervals and this produces a suction-like effect on the bulging disc encouraging it to return to its proper position between the vertebrae. A positive side effect to decompression therapy is that it also creates an osmotic gradient, which helps to restore hydration and nutrients to the disc, and this encourages healing.

Numerous studies have been done on the effectiveness of Non-surgical Spinal Decompression for herniated discs since the treatment was first introduced in 1991. Herniated discs are very painful and they can cause substantial
back pain and neck pain. Additional symptoms can include shooting
arm pain and
leg pain and dumbness. Bladder problems have even been linked to herniated disks.
When you come in for Decompression Therapy our
chiropractor will have you lie comfortably on the table. Padded straps are applied to various parts of your body and all you have to do is relax. Many patients even find the therapy enjoyable.
Dr. Vincent Saraceno is dedicated to healing and wellness and he wants everyone with
back pain in
Newark, East Orange, Ironbound and Irvington to know that you don't have to live with
back pain! Help us spread the word.
